For the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of designing environments that inspire, uplift, and create a sense of wonder. As the founder of Carly Jay Design, I specialise in creating child-friendly spaces that encourage calm, imagination, and exploration, whether for homes, schools, youth centres, or family-friendly businesses. My mission is simple: to design environments where children and young people can thrive, while also ensuring they’re safe, playful, and sustainable.
Aside from my love of all things design, I am a huge fan of curry, nature, music, reading but mostly, sharing time with my wonderful son and loved ones.

I have a rooted belief that spaces profoundly impact the way we live, work, and interact. Understanding how spaces influence our emotions, behaviours, and wellbeing is central to my approach.
PLAYFUL AESTHETICS My signature style is characterised by vibrant colours, retro charm, raw aesthetics, and a keen eye for the unexpected. I draw inspiration from a wide array of sources, from 1960s counterculture to the innovative designs of modern play spaces.
EXPERTISE With years of experience in the field, I have had the privilege of transforming a variety of spaces into playful havens. Whether it's a children's playroom that sparks creativity, a restaurant with interactive installations, or a corporate office that embraces playful design elements to boost employee morale, I relish the challenge of making every project a delightful experience.
DESIGNING FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES While my passion lies in creating spaces for children that nurture their development and imagination, I understand the importance of designing environments that are enjoyable for all ages. From incorporating playful design elements in adult spaces to designing multi-generational family areas, my approach is inclusive and adaptable. I have extensive experience in designing for inclusivity & accessibility.
